With Kawhi Leonard requesting a trade, teams are quickly arranging possible packages in exchange for the San Antonio Spurs’ defensive stalwart. Rumor has it that the Philadelphia 76ers are pretty hungry for Leonard.

Speaking on the Dan Patrick Show, Marc Stein of the New York Times said that the Spurs are ready to move on from Leonard. To recall, their relationship was marred in the regular season due to Leonard’s injury. The medical team cleared him to play but Leonard himself wasn’t feeling too well.

When he requested for a trade, Leonard said that his preferred destination is the Los Angeles Lakers. But this doesn’t stop other teams from trying to trade for Leonard:

In addition, according to Jake Fischer of Sports Illustrated, the Sixers have had internal discussions over the last 48 hours about acquiring Leonard. A source even said that they are arranging a package involving Dario Saric and Robert Covington:

“One team source says preliminary discussions with San Antonio revealed the Spurs have strong interest in a package involving burgeoning forwards Dario Saric and Robert Covington as well as a future first-round pick.”

Is the aforementioned package enough to attract the Spurs? Or will other teams come out with a more beneficial deal in exchange for Leonard?
