The Philadelphia 76ers have been trying to move the contract of center Jahlil Okafor for more than a season, but now having declined a potential option for his fourth year — they will be more determined than ever to make it happen. Two of his most likely landing spots are his native Chicago Bulls and the Atlanta Hawks, according to NBA.com's David Aldridge.

The Sixers reportedly are still hopeful to get at least a draft pick in return for Okafor, but they won't be ones to rush the process, as they can ultimately opt to hold onto Okafor as insurance for Embiid for the remainder of the year.

Philly can also use Okafor as part of a bundle prior to the trade deadline, making him the poison pill for a team desperate to acquire a different piece from their roster.

The Duke standout seemed poised to have a solid start to his career, averaging 17.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks in his first season, but a myriad of questions about his defense and injuries proved to be his downfall within the system.

The rise of Joel Embiid didn't do any favors for his longevity with the team, finding himself as one of the odd men out of a center logjam, along with Nerlens Noel — who found his way out during the last trade deadline.

Chicago and Atlanta are two teams expected to end up at the bottom of the Eastern Conference and two of the few that can take a risk on Okafor during this season.
