Despite Los Angeles already opening doors for LeBron James to walk in during free agency, another exciting prospect can be the young Philadelphia 76ers, as president Bryan Colangelo is expected by executives around the league to take his best shot at netting his services, according to Jeff Zillgitt of USA TODAY Sports.

Many have raved about the infinite opportunities that come with him finishing his prime with the Lakers, but if it's rings that he's chasing, Philly might have the most ready product to make him a mere plug-and-play.

For the first time in his NBA career, James would play alongside a dominant big man — one capable to terrorize the opposition in ways similar to what he has over the span of his last 15 years in the league.

Even first-year Sixers like J.J. Redick have started paving the road for a potential pitch, as he recently gave some hefty praise for The King prior to facing the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday.

“LeBron, I think, is the greatest player to ever play,” Redick said.

While some moves would have to be made, James can join a cast including Embiid, Robert Covington, Ben Simmons, Dario Saric, and rookie Markelle Fultz.

Chances are that James would want to keep a deadeye shooter like Redick on the roster, giving him a Kyle Korver-like presence at the three-point line for his various drive-and-kick opportunities.

James had remained noncommittal of any free-agency talks, and hasn't signed an extension with the Cavaliers this summer, playing the same wait-and-see game he's become known for throughout his entire career.

“Anytime I’m able to be a free agent or my contract is ending, I’ll approach that when the summer comes,” said James.

While James has been known as a true businessman with the handling of his brand, his charities, and his overall image — he's also chasing every bit of championship glory he can get his hands on, as he's set to turn 33 in roughly a month.

The Sixers present the most win-now package of the two destinations and one that has proved to mesh better than fellow star Paul George has managed with his new team.

The choice will be his to make at the end of the season, but the Lakers won't just walk away with a money toss without Colangelo darting his own at this transcendent talent.
