When Joel Embiid, who stands 7'0 and weighs at least 250 pounds, gets thirsty, he needs an entire water bottle to hydrate his colossal frame. For him, a sip is equivalent to chugging down one whole water bottle.

As posted by Bleacher Report, Embiid casually chugged down an entire water bottle before taking questions from the media. Below is the video:

The 76ers are down 3-1 to the Boston Celtics. During press time, Embiid talked about his skirmish with Terry Rozier — an event which landed them two technical fouls. As reported by Ed Barkowitz of philly.com:

“I was trying to get the ball and keep the game flowing because I felt like we were on a run and I wanted to keep it going,” Embiid said.

“He kept the ball away from me and tried to punch me twice,” Embiid explained, “but too bad he’s so short that he couldn’t get to my face. I was just trying to get the ball and he was the one who swung.”

His teammate Ben Simmons backed him up. For him, Rozier or anyone who wants to shake up Embiid needs to try a little bit harder:

“For somebody to try to frustrate him and get under his skin, I think he’s just going to throw it down harder,” Simmons said. “He wants to be great. He never wants to half-ass things.”

The Sixers will obviously be looking to keep the series alive when they next face the Celtics. This young rivalry, no matter what happens next, is certainly worth monitoring.
