France may have lost to Germany in the Round of 16 in EuroBasket 2017, but most of their key players dazzled with some incredible plays throughout the match.

One of them is newly-signed San Antonio Spurs big man and French center Joffrey Lauvergne, who threw down a vicious poster slam over Germany's Daniel Theis. The highlight reel worthy play drew a loud applause from the crowd inside the arena, and even the commentators couldn’t contain their excitement.

Despite the solid efforts of Orlando Magic swingman Evan Fournier, Utah Jazz forward Boris Diaw, and Lauvergne, who finished the game with 27, 15, and 13 points, respectively, the lack of production from their bench proved to be their downfall, especially in the end game, as Germany escaped with an 84-81 victory.

Joffrey Lauvergne is coming off a productive season where he appeared in 70 games for the Oklahoma City Thunder and Chicago Bulls, after being part of the deal that sent Taj Gibson and Doug McDermott to OKC. His career averages of 6.1 points and 4.0 rebounds may seem pedestrian, but he's still a very serviceable reserve big man.

If he can build on the momentum after his strong showing in the tournament, the Spurs could once again have a solid contributor off the bench that has the ability to provide them with quality minutes night in and night out.
