Pau Gasol reached a historic milestone as he played his 200th game for the Spanish national team in the first game of the 2017 EuroBasket against Montenegro.

Gasol had 10 points, eight rebounds, and five assists in 18 minutes to help Spain to an easy 99-60 win.

Gasol becomes just one of a handful of players to play at least 200 times for his country. The short list includes some of his teammates in Spain’s “Golden Generation,” Juan Carlos Navarro, Felipe Reyes and Rudy Fernandez.

This 200-game milestone is just one more accolade to add to what is already a sparkling international basketball resume for the San Antonio Spurs big man.

Gasol is already Spain’s all-time top scorer in international play after he eclipsed the great Epi's record mark during the 2016 Olympics. He has also led his country to three EuroBasket gold medals, a FIBA World Cup gold medal, two Olympic silver medals and a bronze.

After hitting 200 games, the 37-year-old Gasol doesn’t figure to have too many more games left in a Spain jersey. But when he does call it quits, he will without a doubt go out as the greatest Spanish basketball player of all-time.
