The Pittsburgh Steelers have to beat the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday to have any chance of making the playoffs. Unfortunately, they will have to attempt to do it without wide receiver Antonio Brown, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Brown is nursing a knee injury.

The Steelers will enter Sunday's matchup against the Bengals with a record of 8-6-1 and are coming off of a devastating loss to the New Orleans Saints last weekend that knocked them out of the top spot in the AFC North.

Now, Pittsburgh is on the outside looking in of the AFC playoff picture and will need to beat Cincinnati and will require the Cleveland Browns to beat the Baltimore Ravens. In that scenario, the Steelers would win the AFC North.

There is another scenario where the Steelers could make the playoffs if they win and the Tennessee Titans and Indianapolis Colts tie, but that is obviously very unlikely.

Brown is coming off of a spectacular performance against the Saints in which he hauled in 14 receptions for 185 yards and two touchdowns, just the latest terrific outing in a glittering career.

Overall this season, Brown has caught 104 passes for 1,297 yards and a league-leading 15 receiving touchdowns en route to his sixth straight Pro Bowl appearance.

The 30-year-old has also earned First-Team All-Pro honors four years in a row, and it remains to be seen whether or not Brown gets chosen for an All-Pro team again this season.

Brown has led the NFL in receiving yards and receptions twice during his nine-year career.
