One of the biggest reasons Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger's leadership skills have been called into question is due to the fact that he has a tendency to call out his teammates on his weekly radio show.

Why Antonio Brown has not said anything about this publicly, it has been surmised that his animosity toward Roethlisberger partially stems from the signal-caller's penchant for publicly ripping his teammates.

However, Steelers general manager Kevin Colbert is perfectly fine with Roethlisberger doing just that, saying that Ben's teammates should listen to him based on his experience in the league:

“Ben’s the elder statesman. If the players were smart, they’d listen to him. He’s been there,” Colbert said, via Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.

Let's put the Brown drama aside for a second, because, obviously, Brown's issues run deeper than just Roethlisberger calling out teammates on the radio.

Is what Colbert is saying all that healthy?

He is essentially stating that he has no issue with Roethlisberger going through the media to air out his grievances with teammates rather than settling things in house, which is not exactly how you facilitate a positive locker room environment.

Now, Colbert does not have to publicly renounce Roethlisberger for his actions, but he should not approve of them.

Of course, Brown's tenure in Pittsburgh seems to be all but over, so the Steelers won't have to worry about the beef between the receiver and the quarterback anymore, but it seems like there have been other Pittsburgh players who have taken issue with Big Ben's big mouth.
