On Friday, the Pittsburgh Steelers signed two players to their 90-man roster. These two signings were former Atlanta Falcons running back Malik Williams and former Tennesse Titans linebacker Robert Spillane.

Spillane played in two regular season games for the Titans last season, not recording a stat. He grabbed an interception against the Steelers in a Titans' preseason game last season. This earned him a roster spot on the Titans last season but was mostly used as a special teamer and emergency backup.

Even though Spillane hasn't had much playing time, he's still very optimistic about his future.

Spillane told TitansOnline.com:

“Football is more fun now than it’s ever been for me,” during the 2018 preseason. “A lot of people say it’s most fun when you first start playing, and it gets worse in time. Not me. I’ve had a newfound love for football… It feels really good to be in the situation I’m in.”

Spillane will hopefully have the opportunity to prove himself and earn more playing time with the Steelers this upcoming season.

On the other hand, Williams spent time with the Falcons during training camp. However, he was not signed onto the 53 man roster. He sustained a shoulder injury during the preseason and was a free agent last season. At Louisville, Williams ran rushing for 531 yards and four touchdowns during the 2017 season.

However, he sees himself to be more than just a running back. He played wideout and defensive back in high school. He'll adapt to whatever the Pittsburgh coaching staff desires.

Williams told FloFootball.com.

“I’ll play any position, any system, as long as it’s football… I love football.”

The Steelers last season went 9-6-1. They lost their playoff bid after losing to the Cleveland Browns on the final game of the season.
