According to a recent report from Mark Madden of 105.9 The X, Pittsburgh Steelers standout pass rusher TJ Watt skipped his exit interview with the heralded franchise at the conclusion of the team's 2020 campaign. However, according to Watt himself, that certainly wasn't the case as he said he met with head coach Mike Tomlin, general manager Kevin Colbert and defensive coordinator Keith Butler.

The once red-hot Steelers entered the postseason as the AFC North Champions and No. 3 overall seed in the conference. However, Pittsburgh ended both the regular season and postseason with back-to-back losses to the rival Cleveland Browns despite beginning the year with a perfect 11-0 record.

It is also worth noting that the aforementioned Madden has since tweeted in response to the Steelers linebacker while “standing by” his sources.

Unsurprisingly, Watt's older brother, Houston Texans superstar pass rusher JJ Watt, has since chimed in as well. It is abundantly clear that the Watt brothers won't be budging on their stance regarding this report and pretty serious claim involving the Steelers and TJ Watt.

It remains to be seen as to what exactly happened with Watt in Pittsburgh after a season that a lot of Steelers players, coaches and fans would like to forget about.

However, Watt is already one of the more loved players in Pittsburgh and has continued to absolutely dominate on the field for the Steelers. Watt appeared in 16 regular season games in 2020 and recorded a single-season career-high 15 sacks. He was originally selected by the team  in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft out of Wisconsin.
