The Pittsburgh Steelers are in the midst of a fluid situation concerning star running back Le'Veon Bell, who continues his holdout until the week after their Week 7 bye.
There has been consistent chatter on the trade front, with the Steelers potentially pushing to trade the 26-year-old prior to his expected return. During a recent interview on Sports Radio 94WIP, Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports stated that Pittsburgh is hoping Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman contacts them once again about a trade for Bell.

There were reports that the Eagles initially contacted the Steelers about a possible trade for Bell, but things have cooled on that front over the last couple of weeks. However, Philadelphia has had some injuries issues with their backfield, with the latest being starter Jay Ajayi suffering a season-ending torn ACL during last Sunday's 23-21 loss to the Minnesota Vikings.
This has put them in a tough spot with their workhorse running back out of the mix for the rest of the year, but this has yet to translate to the team looking to re-engage in trade talks with the Steelers about Bell. Instead, the Eagles reportedly have no plans to pursue a deal to acquire him at this point in time, with their intentions focused on rolling with what they have in Corey Clement and Wendell Smallwood leading the charge.
Things could certainly change on this front over the next couple of weeks, but for the time being, Pittsburgh will have to await Bell's imminent return to the team. His arrival could shift the negotiations for both sides. Only time will tell what will unfold with the Steelers.
