UC Riverside pulled off one of the biggest upsets early in the NCAA season with their stunning win over Arizona State on Thursday night. The manner by which they won the contest makes the victory even more epic.

Even the great Stephen Curry would be proud of this half-court game-winner from UC Riverside's JP Moorman II (h/t UCR Men's Basketball on Twitter):

With Arizona State up two points with just 1.7 seconds remaining on the clock, it looked like the game was over. UC Riverside also had to inbound the ball the full length of the court which seemingly put the win beyond them. Well, don't tell that to Moorman, who heaved a last-second (literally) shot out of pure desperation. Nothing. But. Net.

Unsurprisingly, this clip has now gone viral with several outlets already reporting this insane game-winner. JP Moorman might not ever make it to the big leagues, but this unbelievable shot has allowed him to etch his name in the history books of UC Riverside.

Arizona State now fall down back to earth after logging a convincing win 76-60 win over Portland in their opening match. UC Riverside, on the other hand, are over the moon after winning their first game of the season in such a sensational fashion.
