Now that he is about to wind up his final season as a pro in the Chinese Basketball Association, Stephon Marbury has turned his focus on his signature shoe line, which he plans to reintroduce to the U.S. market starting this month.

The former two-time NBA All-Star reportedly signed a deal with an off-price chain to carry his brand and sell it for a very affordable price, according to Lisa Fickenscher of the New York Post. The piece also indicates that the sneakers will be sold for $14.95 a pair.

“Stephon Marbury, the former Knicks point guard turned sneaker entrepreneur, has inked a deal with Citi Trends to sell his affordable shoe line in its 545 stores starting this month, The Post has learned.”

“The Savannah, Ga., off-price chain will be the first store to carry the brand since 2008 when the only retailer that carried it — Steve & Barry’s — went bankrupt.”

Marbury debuted the Starbury back in 2006, as he saw an opportunity to sell quality basketball shoes at a price much lower than the famous Air Jordan line. Since taking his talents to China four years after, he has rekindled his success as a basketball player, and established himself as one of the best to ever play in the country — with a rockstar status on the side.

Stephon Marbury's sneakers are expected to receive a decent following, as the prices are very affordable and they could be an alternative pair for those who want to have multiple basketball shoes at a time. However, the true sales will be determined once reviews are out, especially when worn during actual games.
