The Los Angeles Lakers just got some great news as they announced that Talen Horton-Tucker will start against the San Antonio Spurs in his season debut.

Tucker has been sidelined for most of the season with a right ligament injury but was able to finally come back for this Lakers team.

The Lakers are having an interesting season. It's not the start that many fans envisioned but they are still over .500, even though they have missed LeBron James, Tucker, and Trevor Ariza for most of the season. The others have been able to stay healthy and that's the biggest concern for this Lakers team. Another concern for them is their lineups right now. In Coach Frank Vogel's defense, it's not the best-constructed team ever, and the lack of 3-point shooting causes some interesting lineups. Adding Tucker back to this mix will certainly help the Lakers back as they're going to get a young guy who can play 35-plus minutes a night while some of their veterans can have fewer minutes.

Los Angeles is uncertain when LeBron James will return but it seems as if it's going to be sometime soon. There can't be much judgment on the Lakers until they're about 20 games into the season with LeBron on the court. They have so much talent that eventually it's going to have to figure itself out, and if not, they're going to make some moves at the deadline. Having Horton-Tucker back is a step in the right direction for this Lakers team as they try to win an NBA title.
