Before starting a new chapter with the Boston Celtics, All-Star guard Kemba Walker is hoping that he could lead Team USA to a medal finish in the upcoming FIBA World Cup.

Walker is optimistic that Team USA has what it takes to emerge victorious in the FIBA World Cup, and he's willing to do everything he can to help the national team win.

After playing the first eight seasons of his career with the Charlotte Hornets, Kemba decided it was time for him to move on. Kemba, after failed contract negotiations with the Hornets, joined the Celtics last month on a four-year, $141 million deal

However, before he suits up for the Beantown team, Walker is tasked to be the leader of a Team USA squad reeling from the withdrawals of superstars like Anthony Davis, James Harden and Damian Lillard. Kemba is arguably the best player on the team right now, which means that his teammates and coaches will rely heavily on him.

Walker knows this and has no problem accepting the challenge. After all, that's what he did in Charlotte.

Only this time, he'll have a legitimate shot at winning a championship. It may not be the NBA title, but for Kemba, winning the gold in China will be equally satisfying.
