Team USA has been in a bit of a funk recently, considering how they've dropped their past two exhibition games leading up to the Olympics against Nigeria and Australia. Somehow, someway, they needed a spark, something to get them back in rhythm. And who better then Zach LaVine to provide just that type of momentum.

The Chicago Bulls star and two-time Dunk Contest winner laid down a huge slam dunk on Argentina, rising up over Argentina forward Juan Vaulet and slamming it down with authority.

LaVine burst right past his defenders, punishing the ball despite the heavy contact. Drawing the and-1, he was able to further push ahead USA's lead over Argentina.

A poster like this is nothing new to Zach. He's garnered quite the reputation for his stunning athleticism, from his speed, vertical, and strength. He's got hardware for it too, winning the NBA Dunk Contest in both 2015 and 2016.

Such a moment is a breath of fresh air for Team USA. Despite all the struggles as of late, the roster is incredibly talented. After all, half the team has made All-NBA teams. From the ā€œSlim Reaperā€ himself Kevin Durant, to the scoring machine Bradley Beal, or the clutch Damian Lillard, the roster is filled with weapons. It's only better knowing it's all anchored by the legendary coach Gregg Popovich. It's made the team almost a lock to win the gold at any of the Olympic Games.

While it may not count in the long run, the team needed this, boosting their morale after tough losses. In the meantime, you can count on spectacular plays from LaVine and the rest of the roster throughout their games.

Let's go Team USA!
