You might be surprised to see just how much NBA players like video games. When they're not on the court, a lot of players actually love to bring their A-Game to the virtual world.

Besides obviously favoring NBA 2K as one of the games they usually play, a lot of other games such as Fortnite seem to be well liked as well. With that said, we come up with the list of the best gamers in the NBA today.

1. Gordon Hayward

Hayward is undoubtedly one of the most popular NBA gamers, as he has been playing ever since he was young. He has played in local Halo tournaments and IGN’s StarCraft 2 pro league.

Occasionally, he loves to play Fortnite, too.

2. Jeremy Lin

Lin is dead serious about gaming as he's actually one of the most vocal supporters of Esports. Particularly, he loves to play Dota 2 and even created his own team and won the WSOE 6: Dota 2 — Serenity’s Destiny tournament last year.

3. Paul George

George is more of a PlayStation fan, as he loves Destiny 2, Fortnite and NBA 2K. To take it up a notch, he collaborated with Nike and Sony on his PG 2.5 signature shoe to create a PlayStation colorway based on the original PS1 console — complete with light-up logos on the tongues.

4. Karl-Anthony Towns

Towns definitely lands on the more serious side of gamers, as he can be seen sometimes streaming Fortnite and PUBG up until 6 in the morning. Surprisingly, he may even play basketball better after a late night gaming session.

In a previous viral video, Ben Simmons challenged Towns to play for even longer than usual when he knew that they were playing the Atlanta Hawks the next day. In that game, Towns scored a franchise record 56 points and had 15 rebounds to go with it.

5. Joel Embiid

Embiid is a pleasant surprise to this list, as it turns out that he loves to play NBA 2K and FIFA. Recently, he played with talk show host Trevor Noah in a friendly set of FIFA matches where he lost 2-1.

As cocky as he is on the basketball court, the same applies to video games after he proclaimed himself as the “King of FIFA.” So much for the King.

6. Kenneth Faried

Faried is another hardcore Fortnite gamer. He competed in the recent Celebrity Pro-Am Tournament, where he and his teammate Jack “CouRage” Dunlop finished second, losing to Tyler “Ninja” Blevins and EDM artist Marshmello.

7. Josh Hart

Hart is one of the most popular Fortnite players in the NBA. To prove this, he even plays in custom-made Fortnite sneakers and does some in-game celebrations that mimic the game.

Like Faried, he also attended the Celebrity Pro-Am Tournament.

8. De’Aaron Fox

Fox brings it to a whole new level with his gaming-themed videos on his YouTube channel. At one point, he even used the Sacramento Kings’ arena as his own personal living room, playing Dragon Ball FighterZ on the Kings’ 84-foot 4K screen against YouTuber Kristopher London.

9. Ben Simmons

Simmons is famous on Twitch for streaming Fortnite and PUBG. He plays with some well-known personalities too in LosPollosTv, Mike “OpTic Di3seL” Carr, Shaun “Hutch” Hutchinson, and R&B singer Tinashe.
