The Oklahoma City Thunder are once again out of the playoffs in the first round for the second year in a row, but this time around the questions heading in the offseason surround the future of another superstar with the franchise. All-Star forward Paul George has a major pending decision on his hands regarding free agency this upcoming summer.

This lead to the wide speculation that he will hit the free agent market in July where he will be one of the most sought-after players available aside from the Thunder. According to Fred Katz of the Norman Transcript, Bovada has released their betting odds on where George will land this summer, with the early overwhelming favorite being the Los Angeles Lakers, followed by the Thunder and the Philadelphia 76ers.

There has become the public assumption that the 27-year-old will be highly interested in playing for his hometown team next season. Despite voicing his interest to return to the Thunder, George has continued to keep the door open when it comes to looking at his possibilities.

Meanwhile, the Lakers have made it no secret that they are positioning themselves to make a run at the All-Star forward and another premium talent via free agency to bring to Los Angeles next season. All of this has made the team the overriding favorites to land the Palmdale native in a few months time.

Oklahoma City will remain well within the picture regardless of how this entire situation shakes out over the next several months because of the strong impression that the team has made on him in his brief tenure. There will be other destinations that loom such as the Philadelphia 76ers, who have become an appealing landing spot after their promising season that saw them reach the Eastern Conference semifinals behind their two emerging stars in Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons.

There are several possibilities that George could entertain over the offseason if he does elect to become a free agent that could make this a highly entertaining process that will decide the next chapter of his career.
