Darius Bazley of the Oklahoma City Thunder believes that his physical profile will be an asset in today's era of position-less basketball.

Per Thunder reporter Nick Gallo the 6-foot-9, 200-pound Bazley shared what he can bring to the table given his size and athleticism. For the 19-year-old, he'll have the advantage even when he's matched up with a smaller or bigger guy.

“It definitely helps because of the direction the NBA is going with it being position-less basketball now,” said Bazley. “Me just being able to have a mismatch whenever I’m on the floor. If it’s a smaller guy I’m able to take him inside or shoot over the top or if it’s a bigger guy I’m able to use my quickness and my handle to finish at the rim.”

Bazley, who was the 23rd overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, was one of the top prospects in the entire country when he was in high school. He initially committed to Syracuse but then decided to skip college and take another route to the NBA.

He entered the limelight when he hired Rich Paul of Klutch Points as his representative. Paul then made arrangements that ended with Bazley working as an intern with New Balance for three months where he earned a million dollars. He did all of this while training by himself. Skipping college and embarking on a different route was tagged as a risky move at first. But Bazley's risk paid off as he made it to the NBA.
