With Paul George heading to the Los Angeles Clippers following a trade request, the Oklahoma City Thunder gave veteran Mike Muscala an opportunity to re-evaluate his decision to join the team. While Alec Burks decided to join the Golden State Warriors instead, Muscala is sticking around:

Muscala is a talented big with a clean stroke from the perimeter — an element OKC will need heading into next season. At 6-11 and 240 pounds, he also has the size needed to be a solid presence in the paint.

Muscala started last season with the Philadelphia 76ers, where he turned in averages of 7.4 points and 4.3 rebounds in 47 games. However, he was traded to the LA Clippers in the Tobias Harris deal and later wound up with the Los Angeles Lakers. In 17 appearances with the Lakers, Muscala averaged 5.9 points and 2.6 rebounds.

The Thunder finished the 2018-19 regular season with a 49-33 overall record, which earned the team a No. 6 seed in the Western Conference Playoffs. Unfortunately, though, OKC was defeated by the Portland Trail Blazers in the first round, 4-1.

With George gone and Russell Westbrook potentially out the door, the Thunder could be looking at a rebuild very soon. OKC also just traded Jerami Grant and acquired yet another first-round pick in the process.
