For players in the G-League, it is their chance to prove they belong in the NBA and they deserve a call-up from a team needing to bolster their lineup. There have been a number of successful ones in the past who’ve had long careers at the highest level who they are trying to emulate.

Now, a new player is emerging as the next success story of the G-League, as Daniel Hamilton of the Oklahoma City Blue is turning a lot of heads by making his best impression of Russell Westbrook. He has become the league’s triple-double machine, already recording four in their first eight games, and is looking geared to shatter the record last year by a big margin.

The 22-year-old Connecticut product was the 56th overall pick in last year's draft and signed a two-way deal with the Thunder this past summer. He already appeared in one game in the NBA this season, and may soon have more opportunities to showcase his talents if he continues his solid play.

At 6-foot-7, he can provide the Thunder with a lot of versatility, as he can play both the shooting guard and small forward positions. His ability to shoot from beyond the arc also fits their style of play and will give Billy Donovan another weapon he can use during some stretches of games whenever he suits up for the team.
