Paul George is set to make his preseason debut for the Oklahoma City Thunder after missing the team's last game due to personal reasons. It will be good for the Thunder to get their star forward back on the court for some preseason minutes so the team can begin figuring out their chemistry.

Erik Horne of The Oklahoman broke the news that George would be available and even shared a picture of him at practice with the Thunder.

This offseason was busy for the Thunder. Being able to re-sign George to a long-term deal right off the bat was a huge step in the right direction. They were also able to unload Carmelo Anthony's contract and bring in point guard Dennis Schroder to bolster their bench.

Last season with the Thunder, George averaged 21.9 points to go along with 5.7 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game. He also chipped in on the defensive side of the ball with 2.0 steals per game. George shot 43.0 percent from the field overall and knocked down 40.1 percent from beyond the 3-point arc.

At 28 years old, George is hoping to take his game to a new level alongside Russell Westbrook this season. He will be asked to take on an even larger role this year with Anthony no longer in town.

Oklahoma City has unfinished business from last season. They felt they would be able to compete with the Golden State Warriors, but instead were bounced out of the playoffs by the Utah Jazz in the first round.

George re-signed with the Thunder to finish that business, and everything will start with his preseason debut on Friday night.
