Oklahoma City Thunder star Russell Westbrook has done more than his fair share of keeping the team afloat after the departure of former MVP Kevin Durant and even went on to secure his very own MVP trophy during the 2016-17 season.

The fiery guard successfully pulled off an amazing historical campaign by averaging a triple-double, being the only player to do so since the days of Hall of Famer Oscar Robertson.

Playing every game like it's his last even brought flashes to NBA legends such as Allen Iverson, who stated how much Russell Westbrook reminds the retired superstar of himself. It's impossible to give your all to the game and not garner a lot of love from fans around the world, and whatever the number of fans Westbrook had before last season no doubt grew as he brought excitement to the league in a way many had not witnessed before.

One fan took it to the extreme by having a picture of the Thunder MVP tattooed on the back his knee, which famous artist Steve Butcher spent 11 hours sketching to perfection.
