Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook recorded the first 20-20-20 game on Tuesday since the legendary Wilt Chamberlain did it on February 2nd, 1968.

Against the Los Angeles Lakers, Westbrook finished with 20 points, 21 assists and 20 rebounds in 37 minutes.

The Thunder defeated the Lakers by a final score of 119-103.

This is an amazing accomplishment for Russell Westbrook, who was playing with a heavy heart following the passing of his friend, rapper Nipsey Hussle.

Westbrook is looking to average a triple-double for an entire season for the third year in a row. The former MVP entered Tuesday averaging 23.0 points, 11.0 rebounds and 10.4 assists per game for the Thunder, who improved to 45-33 with the win.

All season long, Houston Rockets star guard James Harden has been putting on performances which Wilt Chamberlain used to do. Now, Westbrook etches his name next to Wilt. For a point guard to grab 20 rebounds in a game points to just how explosive and hard Russ plays for the Thunder night in and night out.

Westbrook's parents were at the Thunder game tonight as well. It's definitely a night the All-Star point guard won't forget for a very long time.

Tuesday was Westbrook's 31st triple-double of the season. The next closest player is Nikola Jokic, who has 12.
