The Oklahoma City Thunder and Portland Trail Blazers engaged in a closely contested game. Despite the competitive heat of the atmosphere, there are still moments when players just have to stop and chuckle. One such moment was when Gary Trent Jr. executed a hilarious flop that confused the hell out of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

Trent's mid-air, five-star flog splash was quite the sight, so much so that Shai couldn't help but laugh.

Starting in the 2012-2013 season, the NBA instituted the anti-flopping rule to reduce such instances, which it considers an “unsportsmanlike practice.” Obviously though, it didn't stop players like Trent–much to the bewilderment of the Thunder guard.

Unfortunately for Trent and his Blazers, Shai and his Thunder still had the last laugh despite his attempt to sell the foul. OKC ended up winning the close encounter, 125-122.

SGA led the Thunder with 24 points, nine rebounds and six assists. Mike Muscala also came up big for Oklahoma City, banking 23 points off the bench.

As for the Blazers, Trent ended up with 22 points. Damian Lillard and Anfernee Simons led the way for Rip City with 26 points apiece, but their efforts went for naught as they were unable to make the crucial baskets that would have turned the game in their favor.
