The Utah Jazz have been active in advance of this Thursday's trade deadline, and have received interest from various teams for guard Rodney Hood, per Tony Jones of the Salt Lake Tribune.

League sources say the Denver Nuggets and Orlando Magic have also shown at least a passing interest in Hood, who is set to be a restricted free agent this summer. Hood’s name has been mentioned in trade talks for a few weeks, and the Jazz have been active on the market in an attempt to fortify their roster for the remainder of the season.

Hood, who is in his fourth year with the Jazz, is averaging career highs in points per game and 3-point percentage, per Basketball-Reference. He has been an important player for the Jazz over the years, and has come into his own over the last two seasons.

One of the teams interested in Hood is the Oklahoma City Thunder, who appear to be looking to make a push for a deep playoff run. With Andre Roberson out for the season due to injury, the Thunder could very much use a player like Hood.

But the Jazz won't just give up Hood for pennies on the dollar, per Jones.

The Jazz would like an asset for Hood, according to sources. A first round pick would be optimal.

Hood would be a good fit for any team, but the Jazz also need him. Utah should get something valuable in return if it chooses to make a deal.

The trade deadline is fun, and rumors like this one are part of the reason why. So many teams are going to be in talks, and there will be leaks everywhere.

Hold on to your hats.
