The UCLA Bruins are entering a new era ahead of the 2019-20 college basketball season. Prince Ali, a talented senior guard, wants to help get it off to a good start.

While shouldering far too much blame for last year's woes, Ali discussed his place as the Mick Cronin era begins.

“Last year didn’t really go too well,” senior guard Prince Ali said via The AP. “I could have done a better job of leading this team. I’m trying to be more vocal, trying to do things the right way from jump and just get this ship going.”

The Pac-12 is going to be a pretty tough conference this season. Probably better than in recent years.

That being said, as recently written about at ClutchPoints, Cronin does a great job of coaching up whoever is on the roster to the point the UCLA Bruins should be competitive.

Until he gets his “own guys” into the program, it'll be talented veterans like Prince Ali who are asked to keep the boat afloat for this historic program.
