The Los Angeles Lakers' ‘Meme Team' of Michael Beasley, JaVale McGee, and Lance Stephenson channeled their inner Show Time in a great display of teamwork early in the second quarter of their showdown against the Houston Rockets.

The play began with Beasley driving towards the basket from the right corner, before kicking it out to Stephenson on the opposite side. Stephenson found a cutting McGee to the basket. The big man then dropped off the ball to an open Beasley under the basket for an easy reverse finish.

Beasley, McGee, and Stephenson are known for their notorious personalities and even their fair share of bone-headed plays and moments on and off the court. But this time, we'll for sure see this on the Very Solid Play segment instead of the Meme Team.

The trio was signed by Los Angeles in the off-season to provide the Lakers with some veteran depth. Many questioned Magic Johnson and Rob Pelinka for these signings, as they didn't seem to be a good fit for LeBron James, and their reputations aren't necessarily top of the class.

Nonetheless, there is no questioning that they are very capable and skilled in their own respective roles.

With LeBron James and Rajon Rondo on the sidelines, these three have been tasked with holding down the fort in guiding the Lakers youngsters on the court.

The Lakers appeared to be in cruise control early on, but the Rockets have since made this a game.

Stay tuned on if the Lakers can pull of the road upset against the red-hot James Harden and the Houston Rockets.
