The Minnesota Vikings are heading to the NFC Championship Game for the first time since the 2009 season.
There had been some minor concern arise with Pro Bowl wide receiver Adam Thielen missing practice on Wednesday afternoon. However, Thielen dispelled any doubts about his playing status for Sunday's tilt by stating that he is okay physically, according to Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press.
Adam Thielen was out today with a lower back injury. When I asked him about it after practice, he said, "I'm good." Also a non participant was Shamar Stephen (back, ankle). https://t.co/e1AqCk3283

Thielen did participate in some stretches and light jogging with the team before they went through individual drills. The 27-year-old has arguably been the Vikings' most dependable receiver this season after putting up a breakout campaign with 91 catches for 1,276 receiving yards with four touchdowns. This helped him become the first player in franchise history to post 1,000 receiving yards since Sidney Rice back in 2009. He also posted at least five catches in all but three games while surpassing 100 receiving yards five times.
Thielen was a major factor in the passing game against the New Orleans Saints last Sunday with six receptions on nine targets for 74 receiving yards. He will figure to play an equally as large or greater role against the Philadelphia Eagles.
If some reason he is unable to give it a go, quarterback Case Keenum will shift more of the targets onto wideout Stefon Diggs, who had six catches on 10 targets for 137 receiving yards and a touchdown. This included the game-winning touchdown a 61-yard reception that came on the final play of the fourth quarter. Tight end Kyle Rudolph could also figure into the equation to a greater capacity.
The Eagles will present a formidable challenge to the Vikings' offense despite being 17th overall against the pass. They were able to keep reigning league MVP Matt Ryan under wraps for much of the divisional round game last week allowing just 210 receiving yards and sacked him three times while giving up only 10 points in the contest.
