Minnesota Vikings tight end Kyle Rudolph is just one of the many NFL players currently being affected by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. With all 32 NFL facilities now closed to its players, coaches and other staff members alike, Rudolph and his counterparts throughout the league have all been forced to find other ways to train in order to stay in shape this offseason.

“I did a lot of pushups, a lot of situps. I ran around the neighborhood, I ran in the yard. You try to find a park or an open field,” Rudolph recently told USA TODAY Sports. “And that’s kind of what I’ve resorted to. Thankfully, I’m fortunate now to be in a different situation than I was when I was in middle school and trying to work out. So we do have some fitness equipment here at the house.”

Rudolph also made a point to mention that he remains in constant contact with the team's head strength coach in Mark Uyeyama in addition to Vikings head trainer Eric Sugarman.

“Whether it’s giving us functional movements that you can go out in your backyard or out in your front yard or go in the driveway, or if you can find a park nearby, go to the park and it allows us to get at least some functional movement and then it goes up from there,” Rudolph added, via USA TODAY Sports.

Rudolph and the Vikings managed to reach the playoffs last season, with Minnesota ultimately being ousted from Super Bowl contention by the eventual NFC Champion San Francisco 49ers.
