The Minnesota Vikings are coming off of a 19-9 primetime win against the Washington Redskins and are 6-2 at the midway point of the season. They're looking like a serious playoff contender as of right now, and are hoping to continue their success after these last four games.

Much of their recent success has been due to their resurgent offense, which just hit an impressive mark for the first time in 15 years.

The success of the offense is something that the team has been hoping for since signing quarterback Kirk Cousins to a deal back in the 2018 offseason. Now in year two of the deal, the production is starting to show with how well they've been doing up to this point of the season.

They're currently fourth in the league in yards per game (396.5), third in rushing yards per game (160.1), and ninth in points per game (26.4).

The offensive game has been hitting all-new strides with the play of the offensive talent. Especially with the play of running back, Dalvin Cook. He's the current rushing yards leader at 823 and rushing touchdowns at nine.

The pass-catching duo of Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs is also too much for some teams to handle as both are putting together big weeks on a consistent basis. Diggs is currently second in the league in receiving yards at 706 and Thielen is tied for the lead in receiving touchdowns at six. Together they've produced 64 catches for 1,097 yards and 10 touchdowns.

The success of this team is beginning to come together. And with the way that this team has been playing in recent weeks, they could very well find themselves in the playoffs.
