Baron Davis only played for the Golden State Warriors for four seasons, but he's always going to be a fan favorite in the Bay Area.

Davis was at Oracle Arena Thursday night to check out the Warriors as they took on the Milwaukee Bucks. When he was shown on the jumbotron, Baron Davis received a huge ovation from the Golden State crowd.

In 227 career games with the Warriors, Baron Davis averaged 20.1 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 8.1 assists. He guided the club to a magical postseason run back in 2007. Davis and the Warriors beat the No. 1 seeded Dallas Mavericks in six games. Davis averaged 25.0 points per game in the series and was a matchup nightmare for the Mavs.

In the Western Conference Semifinals against the Utah Jazz, Baron Davis posterized Jazz big man Andrei Kirilenko in what is regarded as one of the best playoff dunks of all time. The play still lives in infamy for Utah.

Baron Davis signed with the L.A. Clippers in 2008, but he was never booed when he returned to Golden State. The fans always appreciated what he did for the franchise. Back in the day, the Warriors weren't the hotshots they are now. Davis kind of put them on the map with his playoff dunk and the “We Believe” team.
