Thursday night in South Beach was a difficult matchup for Draymond Green and the Golden State Warriors as they battled it out against the Miami Heat. Bam Adebayo was a problem for the Warriors, using his athleticism along with his high IQ. The All-Star center recorded 19 points, eight rebounds, and six assists in a 116-109 victory over the Warriors.
After the game, Green, who had a heated exchange with Adebayo in the first half, told ClutchPoints about his thoughts on the versatile Heat big man.
“He's an incredible player. I love watching his game. He understands the game. He's really undersized for a center. But he's the mismatch against most of these centers, but I absolutely love his game and watching him play,” said Green, who finished with 16 points, 10 rebounds, and eight dimes.

Adebayo's numbers against the Warriors on Thursday weren't exactly mind-blowing. However, his defense and playmaking ability throughout the game and in critical moments propelled the Heat into victory. And if anybody knows more about putting his fingerprints on a game without scoring a ton of points, it's Green.
“I think he made his first All-Star Game last year. If I'm not mistaken, he averaged maybe 16 points or something. I love that. That means he's impacting the game in more ways than just scoring the basketball,” said Green. “And when you watch him play, you can see that in every facet of the game. So I really got a lot of respect for his game. His road that he's on. He's traveling the right road. So, I really enjoy his game he's one of my favorite players to watch.”
Warriors dropped their first assignment in their quick, three-games-in-four-nights East Coast road trip. Next, Draymond Green and company travel to Tampa to play the Toronto Raptors at Amalie Arena, with plans to avenge their latest defeat against the Heat.
