In wake of President Donald Trump taking to Twitter to withdraw the invitation to the Golden State Warriors, the organization has issued a formal response with a press release on Saturday morning on the matter.

Prior to Trump's actions via social media, the Warriors had made it clear that they would meet as a team to determine whether they would visit the White House. It was only Stephen Curry that voiced that he didn't want to go publicly before the team held their meeting.

This provides a way for the Warriors to get ahead of the situation with a united response to Trump's stance. That said, there was a growing notion that the team was headed toward not going to the White House given their previous statements about Trump through other events that have occurred since he took office back in January.
On top of that, head coach Steve Kerr and All-Star forward Draymond Green have already come out to voice their opinions that further supports that belief. There have been many other former and current players that have voiced their support for the Warriors while calling President Trump in the process.
Ultimately, all of this could likely lead to much more reaction around the league.
