Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr and shooting guard Klay Thompson took part in a peace walk to reduce gun violence in Oakland.

This is yet another reason to love Thompson, Kerr and the Warriors. In a terrible season for the Dubs, the players have still been engaged with the fans and community.
It's also really good to see Thompson not walk with a limp anymore. Klay won't play this season, but his rehab appears to be going really well.
The Warriors were always going to be cautious with Thompson since they gave him a five-year max contract this past summer worth $190 million. Klay’s long-term health is very important to the organization.
Thompson averaged 21.5 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists for the Warriors in 2018-19 during the regular season. The five-time All-Star shot 46.7 percent from the field, 40.2 percent from beyond the arc and 81.6 percent from the free-throw line.
In the 2019 playoffs, Thompson put up 20.7 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists. The Warriors lost to the Toronto Raptors in the NBA Finals in six games, with Thompson tearing his ACL in Game 6.
The Warriors should be playoff contenders again next season with Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and Andrew Wiggins leading the charge. This season marks the first time in the Steve Kerr era the Dubs won’t make the postseason.
Thompson has said a bunch of times since his injury that he’s going to come back an even better player. Every athlete usually says that after surgery, but it’s rarely the case.
However, since Thompson’s game is all about shooting and spacing the floor, it wouldn’t shock anyone in Golden State if Thompson returns to All-Star form right away in 2020-21.
