The Golden State Warriors are already the most successful team in the NBA over the past three years, as they have reached the Finals in three consecutive seasons, and won two championships. Their lineup is also considered one of the most talented in league history, which makes them favorites once again to win the title next season.
However, for Zaza Pachulia, he believes his team will still become better. He talked about the confidence they gained last year and the chemistry they now have as the reasons for them to be even more formidable, via Mark Medina of The Mercury News.
“I think we’re going to be even better this year with the confidence, the trust factor and knowing for ourselves we won a championship with that team, with that personalities on the team and the chemistry we have,” Pachulia said. “We can be even better with the focus we have with better details in how to improve.”
His statement is definitely bad news for the rest of the competition should it hold true, as the Warriors could become almost an impossible team to beat. Zaza Pachulia made some very interesting points that makes a lot of sense, as his teammates may feed off each other’s confidence, and their familiarity with one another could lead them to more wins on the court.
It remains to be seen if his claim will see the light of day next season, but with the talented roster they have, and an incredible coaching staff as well, it won’t be surprising if the Warriors will make it to their fourth straight Finals, and give it their all to defend their title.
