If the Washington Wizards decide to trade Bradley Beal at some point, there will likely be a long list of potential suitors.

He showed why on Saturday night, dropping a 40-point triple-double in a thrilling triple-overtime win over the Phoenix Suns. It marked the second such stat-line in Wizards franchise history, with Chris Webber being the first player to do it back in 1995, according to Justin Kubatko of StatMuse.

Bradley Beal finished with 40 points, 15 assists and 11 rebounds in 54 minutes, going 17-of-33 from the floor and making four three-pointers.

Overall this season, Beal is averaging 23.5 points, 4.7 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 1.1 steals over 36.2 minutes per game while shooting 47.8 percent from the floor, 35 percent from three-point range, and 77.7 percent from the free-throw line.

The 25-year-old, who played his collegiate basketball at the University of Florida, was originally selected by Washington with the third overall pick of the 2012 NBA Draft.

He enjoyed a solid rookie campaign, registering 13.9 points, 3.8 boards, and 2.4 assists across 31.2 minutes a night, making 41 percent of his field-goal attempts, 38.6 percent of his long-distance tries, and 78.6 percent of his foul shots.

In spite of how impressive Bradley Beal has been this year, the Wizards have been struggling mightily. With the win over the Suns, they moved their record to just 13-20 on the year, which is why many feel there will be big changes in Washington come the trade deadline in February.
