Bradley Beal said he had no one to blame but himself in the aftermath of the Washington Wizards' 106-102 letdown against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden on Thursday.
After the game, Beal, the NBA's leading scorer, couldn't hide his frustrations and admitted he has to get better to give his team a better chance of winning (via The Athletic's Fred Katz).

The three-time All-Star also had an NSFW assessment of his off-shooting night, as relayed by Chase Hughes of NBCS Washington.

Beal got his usual looks against the daunting Knicks defense all night and still finished with a team-best 26 points, nine assists, and four rebounds in 39 minutes. His shots, however, weren't exactly falling on his usual high rate. His inability to get buckets, particularly in the closely-contested fourth period ultimately doomed the Wizards.
The 27-year-old scorer only made eight of his 23 field goals and went 2-of-7 from downtown. It didn't help that the Wizards defense once again failed them, allowing Alec Burks and RJ Barrett to get it going with 27 and 24 points, respectively.
After a surge prior to the All-Star break, Beal and the Wizards are back to their disappointing ways, losing three consecutive games and going 2-8 in their last 10 outings. They occupy the 13th spot in the Eastern Conference Standings with a 15-28 slate.
The Wizards still have another All-Star in the backcourt in Russell Westbrook, but it's clear that they have slim chances of winning whenever Beal figures in a cold stretch. Heck, the Wizards continue losing with Bradley Beal dropping 40-plus points and they will certainly have no chance at all when his shots don't fall.
