Despite being on a tear offensively in the Washington Wizards' last five games, Bradley Beal is still getting flak for his supposed lack of effort on the other end of the floor.

The 6-foot-3 sniper proved his naysayers wrong in the Wizards' 124-110 win over the Golden State Warriors at the Chase Center on Sunday. Apart from pouring 34 points and dishing out eight assists, the University of Florida alum disrupted passing lanes for a game-high five steals.

“It’s tough when you’re labeled as the worst defender in the league, too, so I just try to find ways to just play my game, don’t get caught up in the noise. That’s what it is. It’s noise. Everybody’s gonna have an opinion. They’re entitled to it,” Beal shared post-game, per Fred Katz of The Athletic.

For sure, Bradley Beal won't be making any NBA Defensive Teams anytime soon, but the Wizards star is still a decent defender despite often being undersized at the two-guard position. His best attribute will always be his ability to torch the box score with his unworldly talent of putting points up in bunches.

The 26-year-old deadshot has put up over 30 points in the last five games, highlighted by back-to-back 50-plus point games last week.

The Wizards, however, went 2-3 during that stretch and are still currently out of the playoff picture in the Eastern Conference. They are sitting at ninth place with a 22-37 slate.

Beal, however, has proven that he can handle the keys to Washington's offense, especially with backcourt mate John Wall out this season.
