Bradley Beal's mind has reportedly been made up. But whether that means he's leaving the Washington Wizards or not remains to be seen.

A bombshell report dropped on Tuesday night via Michael Scotto of HoopsHype indicating that Bradley Beal will in fact decline the $36.4 million option attached to his current contract with the Wizards.

Source: Wizards star Bradley Beal will decline his $36.4 million player option for the 2022-23 season and become an unrestricted free agent this summer, HoopsHype has learned. More on Beal’s future, Bobby Portis, Nicolas Batum, and others in the story.

However, just minutes later Bradley Beal himself seemingly reacted to the news about his decision. The Wizards star didn't quite sound as convinced as the report suggests.

Whether or not Bradley Beal opts out of his contract doesn't necessarily indicate that he's staying or leaving. Beal is in line for a supermax deal should the Wizards offer it to him and if he decides to stay in D.C. But at the same time, he'd likely want to iron out an extension in a sign-and-trade should he desire to leave to a destination that could offer him a better chance at a title.

With the NBA Finals officially in the rearview mirror, the offseason drama is certainly starting to simmer.
