It seems Washington Wizards guard Bradley Beal wants to be in Space Jam 2, so much so that he even pitched himself to LeBron James.

Beal took it to Twitter to make his plea, responding to a tweet by LeBron James who confirmed the the much-awaited sequel of the 1996 film has indeed started shooting.

Besides LeBron, Space Jam 2 will also feature other NBA players such as Klay Thompson (Golden State Warriors), Anthony Davis (Los Angeles Lakers) and Damian Lillard (Portland Trail Blazers). WNBA stars like Diana Taurasi and Nneka Ogwumike are also set to play key roles in the film.

It has been reported previously that several other NBA players will make an appearance in the film, so all hope is not lost for Beal. Besides, the Wizards star may even be happy with just a cameo in the flick.

There are no further details about the plot of LeBron's ‘Space Jam 2.' However, it will be interesting to see how it the film will impact his chemistry with Davis. Moreover, it could also be a good opportunity for the two Lakers to recruit other free agents — specifically Beal who has been linked with the Purple and Gold in recent months.

Space Jam 2 is slated to be released on July 16, 2021.
