Bradley Beal is clearly taking a page out of the Damian Lillard guide to staying loyal to your franchise. The Washington Wizards star has been the talk of the trade market for the past couple of weeks. However, reports have firmly indicated that the D.C. guard has no intention of jumping ship just yet.

Speaking to his agent Mark Bartelstein, Yahoo Sports confirmed the All-Star's noble intentions.

“He doesn’t want to quit on something,” Beal’s agent, Mark Bartelstein of Priority Sports & Entertainment, told Yahoo Sports. “He’s an incredibly loyal guy, and he wants to always feel like he’s done everything he can to help something or someone be successful. It’s the way he was raised and what his values are based upon. It’s ingrained in him. It’s what makes him, in my mind, so unique. He’s all about the right things.”

Wizards fans can rest easy, for now. Beal is averaging a monstrous 32.8 points per game which leads the NBA through his first 21 games so far. What makes Beal so attractive to his potential suitors is the fact that he could be a seamless fit to virtually any roster. His ability to create his own offense and make plays for himself and others has been on full display throughout the last two seasons.

But as we've seen from his time as John Wall's running-mate, he knows how to act as a complimentary scorer who can play off-ball as well. Beal has always been an elite catch-and-shoot threat who can space the floor and attack closeouts with the best of them. And while his defense has drawn some flak, he's shown the ability to step up for the playoffs on both sides of the ball.

The problem is, the Wizards haven't exactly been featured in meaningful games for a while now. The squad has failed to reach the postseason the last two seasons, with it being a safe bet to extend to three this year.

Bradley Beal has committed to turning the Washington franchise around. But if things don't get better soon, both sides may be better off rethinking their plans.
