Drake turned heads at his concert in D.C. by wearing John Wall's high school jersey. The rapper definitely knows how to work the crowd. Appearing in D.C. in a jersey of the Washington Wizards' star was definitely a good call by the Toronto Raptors' brand ambassador.

Hip-hop culture and basketball are undeniably linked. Drake is a fixture courtside at Raptors games and he's well-known for donning the jerseys of NBA players in public.

Drake loves to wear the throwback high school jerseys of today's superstars. He wore a DeMarcus Cousins throwback high school jersey in a music video earlier this year. That move got a shoutout from Boogie Cousins. This makes Wall the second former Kentucky player to get a shoutout from the rap star.

Drake has always had an affinity for the Kentucky basketball program. Of course, Wall was a one-and-done player at Kentucky before being drafted first overall by the Washington Wizards in 2010.

Wall loved the move by Drake and the point guard took to Instagram to give Drake a shoutout for wearing his jersey.

Drake and Wall weren't so friendly back when the eighth-seeded Wizards were trying to knock off Drake's beloved top-seeded Raptors this past spring. Drake is a fan's fan. He's rowdy courtside and loves to mix it up with the players. Wall got the worst of it from Drake as his Washington squad was handled in six games by DeMar DeRozan, Kyle Lowry and company.

But it's clear that neither Wall nor Drake hold any grudges from the past. Now it's all love.
