When Dwight Howard signed with the Washington Wizards, there weren't many who said he was the piece who would put the team over the edge to compete with the Boston Celtics or the Philadelphia 76ers.

Howard, however, is confident in what this team can do and at his introductory press conference he told the media that the Wizards will “shock a lot of people.”

Howard also said that John Wall was the one who reached out to him and said that he should join the Wizards. Howard has been one described as a bad teammate throughout his time in the league. Wall must see something in “Superman” to think he will mesh well in their locker room.

Wall and Wizards former center Marcin Gortat didn't see eye-to-eye, so it's a good sign that franchise face is getting along with his new teammate.

Howard has been well traveled throughout his time in the NBA and according to Howard, it has been the perfect ride to prepare him to be a Wizard. Via SB Nation.

“I learned Magic for eight years. Went to La-La Land. Worked for a while with Rockets. Learned to fly with some Hawks. Got stung by the Hornets. And it all taught me how to be a Wizard.”

Even if some call Howard a bad teammate, the one thing people can't say about Howard is that he's not himself. Everywhere he has gone, he has always been the same quirky guy that entered the league with the Magic.
