Washington Wizards point guard John Wall has secured his future with the franchise, signing a four-year, $170 million extension this summer.

The former No. 1 overall pick saw his team have its most successful season since he's been there this past year finishing as the No. 4 seed in the Eastern Conference, then advancing to the second round where the Wizards were turned away by the Boston Celtics.

Wall has been at the forefront of the Wizards' rise in the East and help has come in the form of head coach Scott Brooks, who was in his first year with Washington last year.

Brooks has been a very positive influence that Wall respects, although some of Brooks' antics have gotten on Wall's nerves, provoking this humorous response from the point guard:

Wall surely admits that being pushed harder by Brooks is a good thing in the long run, although frustrating at times perhaps.

The Wizards have done well building a team with young pillars that has caused their future to look bright for years to come. Wall and Brooks are big parts of that.
