Washington Wizards star point guard John Wall is “very confident” he can regain his All-Star form after his injury rehab.

Wall is recovering from heel and Achilles surgery. Many believe the Wizards' franchise player won't be the same explosive player when he comes back.

The former No. 1 draft pick admits he has been reading what the critics have been saying and that it motivates him.

“Yeah, I'm very confident,” Wall told Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports. “I read everything. I mean, it's like everything is always a challenge. Same thing when I had the bone spur taken out of my knee. I went back from that had my best season in 16-17.”

John Wall played in 32 games this season for the Wizards. The five-time All-Star averaged 20.7 points, 3.6 rebounds and 8.7 assists per contest while shooting 44.4 percent from the field, 30.2 percent beyond the arc, and 69.7 percent from the free throw line.

It's unknown if Wall is even going to be ready to play next season, but Wizards fans have to be happy to hear that John Wall is keeping a positive attitude. There hasn't been much of any positive news to come out of D.C. in recent years. Any small amount of hope can be a building block for the Wizards.
