A rival executive in the NBA believes Washington Wizards All-Star point guard John Wall is “unmovable” in trade talks, according to Ken Berger of Bleacher Report.

The four-year, $170 million supermax extension that John Wall signed in 2017 kicks in next season. The former No. 1 overall pick will make $38,150,000 next year, $41,202,000 in 2020-21, $44,254,000 in 2021-22 and $47,306,000 in 2022-23.

“Wall is unmovable,” one of the rival executives told B/R.

We heard they don't want to trade [Beal], that they want to hold on to him,” one of the execs said. “Of course, they want to trade Wall, but nobody's going to take the bait on that. They're stuck with him.”

John Wall underwent season-ending surgery on his left heel last month. The five-time All-Star turns 29 next season, and will be making a lot of money starting next year, so it's not a surprise that other teams in the league don't have interest in him.

In 32 games this season for the Wizards, John Wall averaged 20.7 points, 3.6 rebounds and 8.7 assists per game while shooting 44.4 percent from the field, 30.2 percent from beyond the arc and 69.7 percent from the free-throw line.

John Wall is still a high-level player, but it's been two seasons in a row where he's had major surgeries and his contract is only going to get worse. It sounds like Wall is going to be in the nation's capital for a while.
