The Washington Wizards COVID-19 outbreak has worsened in recent days, as the team has placed as many as five players, including star guard Bradley Beal, in the league's health and safety protocols. The Wizards' COVID situation got even worse after Tuesday's update on center Montrezl Harrell via ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

This is brutal for the Wizards and Montrezl Harrell. Harrell no becomes the seventh Wizards player to enter the COVID protocols.

Harrell was one of the players stepping up for the Wizards amid their COVID issues, so this loss hurts even more. Washington will have a tough task ahead of them with the 21-13 Miami Heat on the schedule Tuesday night.

The Wizards will have to take on the Heat without Harrell, who has quietly been excellent for them this year. Harrell has averaged 14.5 points and 7.3 rebounds per game in 25.4 minutes while shooting over 64 percent from the field. His 25.18 Player Efficiency Rating ranks seventh in the NBA.

Washington will need players such as Daniel Gafford and Rui Hachimura, when he gets his conditioning up to par, to step up in the absence of Harrell and others amid the COVID outbreak.

In another blow, the Wizards' COVID situation got even worse after Tuesday's update on center Montrezl Harrell.
