Right out of the All-Star break, the Washington Wizards and San Antonio Spurs dueled in a game that took two overtime periods to decide. The Spurs came out on top to secure a road victory. But they left something behind for the Wizards: one of their former players

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Wizards will sign Tomas Satoransky to a contract for the remainder of the season. The 30-year-old, 6-foot-7 point guard was thrown into two trades ahead of the trade deadline, going from the New Orleans Pelicans to the Portland Trail Blazers to the Spurs.

Satoransky only scored three points in nine minutes in the double-overtime contest. He played the first three seasons of his career in Washington, becoming a true piece of the team's rotation in his second season. In his last two campaigns with the Wizards, he averaged 8.1 points, 4.5 assists and 3.3 rebounds on excellent shooting splits of 50.1 percent from the field and 42.2 percent from 3-point land.

The Wizards have space in their rotation to add Satoransky, even though he isn't the player he once was. He should be able to slide into a role off the bench and contribute on both sides of the floor. His height allows the team to try out some wonky lineups as they look to secure a bid to the play-in tournament. It will be a tough task to do so with Bradley Beal sidelined after undergoing wrist surgery.

Washington is hoping that their depth will be improved further once Kristaps Porzingis is healthy. The big man is still looking to get back on the court. The Wizards are bringing him along slowly and will likely start him once he's ready.
