The Washington Wizards have been on a path to nowhere for years now. Losing John Wall to several injuries ensured that their time as a legitimate playoff threat was done. Now, it seems like they won't even be a playoff team. The run of success that Wall helped to bring to Washington with Bradley Beal as his running mate is over. At least, for right now they are.

Leading up to Washington's trade that sent Wall to the Houston Rockets, he and Beal showed that they had a real bond. Rumors about the beef between them had persisted for years were squashed. They embraced each other as opponents, showing that the good feelings far outweigh any bad ones.

According to The Athletic's David Aldridge, both Wall and Beal have an interest in reuniting on the Wizards next season. This would be a huge reunion for Washington, but it may be tricky to pull off.

Wall is still with the Rockets, though the franchise hasn't shown a desire to trade him or buy him out. The Wizards could compile contracts to make a trade. Houston has no plans for Wall, so helping them offload him shouldn't be a very difficult negotiation.

With Washington's addition of Porzingis, who has Beal's blessing, the Wizards could have a decent trio. They might have to trade Poorzingis for Wall, though, to match his sizable contract. Regardless of what the trade looks like, it probably won't be enough to make the Wizards contenders since Wall is far from his star-level form. Still, it would be very cool to see Wall and Beal back together again.
